It Was a Wonderful Christmas
Family gathered 'round, a fire in the fireplace, and It's a Wonderful Life on the television......
sharing good food, stories, gifts and laughter......
I hope your Christmas was wonderful too!!
I will keep this blog open, and probably post here and there throughout the year, as I do love to think about Christmas year-round. Christmas treasures that are found during my yard sale and auction jaunts will be shared as well!
I will probably start back up with more regular postings sometime in the fall.
I'm so glad you have joined me here; thank you for all your lovely messages!

When I was a little girl, we had the "45" record of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". I could not understand why on earth someone's Mommy would be kissing Santa. Quite scandalous!!

Ornaments on the tree.....Beaded Candy Cane.....A Santa I painted many moons ago (very amateur, but I like him :) An ornament from our "First Christmas" ~ 1998

We always bought an ornament for our cats, and now this is a sweet way for Boomer to still be with us at Christmas-time.

Andrew liked bears when he was little; I think we bought this one when he was about two.

Thrifted netted angel.....

I've always loved Barbies!
In honor of our musically-talented son Brad.

Just a few out of hundreds of special ornaments.
Hope your Christmas season is going wonderfully!!

I bought this sweet little box of miniature ornaments at my favorite antique shoppe. The 0rnaments aren't original to the box, as it states they are plastic, and these are glass.

I thought the box was sweet enough by itself. The ornaments are a nice bonus!

One of my favorite Christmas books, filled with lovely photos of vintage-style decor!

Little Becca and Brother Mark
This was taken at my Aunt Marge's house. She often had our family Christmas party at her house. I LOVED her aluminum tree!! It had a color wheel, and I thought it was just about the coolest thing I had ever seen!!
I bought a 4 ft. vintage aluminum tree at a yard sale a few years back. I don't have a color wheel (well, I did have one, but haven't found it since we moved! :)
We do place the tree on a vintage rotating musical stand though!
